First Active - no longer doing mortgages

Got a REALLY got low rate tracker with First Active. Had a letter the other week telling me they were not doing any more new mortgages.

Wonder if they'll try and coerce me into moving my mortgage away by knocking something off the capital. That'd be nice !!!!

  • No chance - have effectively merged a number of brand names under Natwest for Intermediaries and Natwest.

We also have a mortgage with First Active, and got a letter saying they weren't doing new mortgages anymore, but I thought they were part of Bank of Scotland group not Natwest?
  • A fuller explanation from the first active public website ....

As of 29th March 2010 the First Active mortgage range will no longer be available to new customers. However, we would be delighted to discuss what kind of mortgage is best for you through NatWest Home Loans Limited, which is also a member of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. You can call them on 0800 096 9527. Alternatively, use textphone 0800 917 0789.
