Bought for £30 yesterday now its £15 anything I can do?

Hi I bought an electric toothbrush from Morrisons yesterday for £30 & typically its now been put on offer for £15.
I wondered if there was anything I could do to get back/save that extra £15. I'm sure I remember reading something about a price guarantee on a site online where if its reduced in so many days the difference is refunded but wondered if this applied at places like morrisons.

If not I know its not 'right' but would I be able to say its faulty & get a full refund. I have the receipt for it still.

Thanks for your help

  • Yeah - just bring it back and say you bought it yesterday and it keeps cutting out when yoiu are using it - it is defo fully charged etc.... Then get a refund which you are entitled to due to the product being faulty and re purchase it later on. I wouldnt lose any sleep over doing this to be honest.

If you say it is faulty you are fleecing Morrisons and a perfectly good toothbrush will go to landfill. Buy a second one at £15, do not open it and take it back with the original £30 receipt saying you have changed your mind. You get to keep opened functional toothbrush at £15 and Morrisons can sell the one you have not opened.

Lovely cheers for that - Didn't think to do it your way Fire fox but will save the toothbrush from a life of misery.

If you paid with a credit cafd, its worth checking with them if they offer anything for this sort of thing as I know for example with store cards, if you buy something and it gets reduced within X days, you can claim back the excess cost. But not all are the same- you'd need to enquire first.

With Fire Fox on this one. Have done something similar once or twice :A - well it is very annoying when they put the prices down and you miss out on a bargain!
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

This is the easiest way to do it,It's what i do and my daughter works for them and says it's done all the time.Sometimes they will refund the extra if you complain but no gurantee on that.

i always thought that if you did this they could tell because the product bar codes would be different? suppose you can plead ignorance though? :A

The bar code will be the same if it's the exact same model, the only thing that could change would be a serial number, but that is usually inside the packaging and wont be a problem...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

The bar code will also be exactly the same no matter where it was bought (obviously this doesn't work for own brand items)
