Entry level mens bike + child seat

After a successful centre parcs bike ride with my 2 year old, I want to get a bike. It must be able to fit a child seat (or do any vendors bundle up bikes and seats?)
what should I be looking for? I know to avoid rear suspension but any other recommendations (we have a ride to work scheme which I may use but am toying with second hand/e-bay possibly)
I've been in to shop and they recommended 19" frame for my height.
I'd love to keep under £100 but more realistically £250-£300 budget
any advice gratefully recieved
