  • £85 for me today £170 remaining now :j:j:j:j

I'd put aside some money for a piece of furniture we needed. Managed to buy something similar but not quite what I had in mind yesterday for a bargain price and saved myself £85. Really pleased :D

Been advised not to pay £1250 to bank as they will swallow it up and count it against personal guarantee (which I already am paying off at £330 every 4 weeks)-allowing me no access to it for emergencies ...........so.............

I have taken my £1000 stashed it in a friend of the families safe instead.:j
Just £250 to find before the end of the month now.

Plan is to keep it as an emergency fund and then start paying the personal guarantee down from next month with overpayments.

If you think this is a bit odd (and against our "pay down your debts before accumulating saving" mantra). Because I have no othe rmeans of funding an emergency (no cards or family to borrow from) Ithink it's important to have a wee bit stashed away - last months expensive car repairs showed me that.

    Cheers

Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
