Who sells good quality but cheap kids clothes ? I see nothing but cheap rubbish thin tops and my daughter just moved to a really cold house on top of a hill and the two wee ones are frozen. I will look in charity shops but am not well and can't get out to them just now, was wondering if any of the chain stores are good. I did look at John Lewis... who seem to sell nice things but want £25-£47 for a top for a 5yr old !!

hi mardatha, when we lived on the island it was always perishing :rotfl:, we opted to layers, starting with thermals - kids ones are great, especially in places like Milletts. I found that tank-top type items were useful too as they keep a body warm without restrictions in little ones.
We used to have a van from Andrew Irvines in Tynabruich visit periodically and he used to sell all that kind of stuff - plus all the rest of lifes essentials - I really miss him here on the mainland

I go to somewhere like Mountain Warehouse for warm stuff for DS. They do have a website.0

What about Tesco? I've always found their clothing quite good quality, the same with Asda.
The problem is most of the shops have lightweight summer clothing in now.
Sports Direct might have some cheap sweatshirts/hoodies.

M&S do great thermal vests for kids and thermal pyjamas. I got loads recently in the sale for a couple of pounds.0

Hi mardatha,
As your thread has dropped down the Old Style board I've moved it over to the I wanna board to see if you can get any more suggestions.
