Or if you don't feel you need the 60Gb model, microdirect are selling the 30Gb model for £136.59 inc VAT. Have a look at

  • Seems like a great bargain. Does anyone own one of these?

Yep, got the 30Gb model about a month ago. Very happy with it. I did do a long reply about it on the old forum with links to various user sites.
I would recommend buying Notmad by https://www.redchairsoftware.com as it is generally considered to be far superior to the Creative software, and it doesn't cost very much.

You can buy spare batteries for around £12 on Ebay.

I agree with blinky. I bought one last week from Microdirect, and I am very pleased with it. I've never used the creative software, only used Notmad. I also use Tag&rename softeare to tidy up mp3 tags!!

Microdirect have a very poor reputation.. just do a search !!

Even if it was a bargain, I would not give them the time of day :D
  • I also bought one of these babies from Microdirect - all seems fine at the moment, they only annoying thing is they use Amtrak for delivery and their depots are miles away - an important consideration if you might not be in when they deliver, therefore worth checking where your nearest depot is before ordering, just in case.....

As for the Creative Zen - it's a little bigger than i expected but plenty of bang for the buck!
You gotta be in it to win it, and who knows you might even get a Brucie!

I'm with you on this one, Microdirect are fine until you need to return faulty goods................you have all been warned, it could well end in tears :) or the small claims court.
