Feed In Tariff Pre July 2009

Hi, does anyone have any comments on the new FITs?
I have been a PV generator since 2005 and I am not sure about moving to FITs.
The brokers I have been using now want to make annual administration charges, £50 + VAT. My 'gut' reaction is to withdraw from all schemes and close down.
Has anyone got any good/cost effective reactions from any Green Energy brokers/providers?
I assume there are lots of others in similar position any experiences great fully received with interest.
Thanks

I'm in a similar position, ableit without the £50+Vat charge (who is charging that?)

As far as moving to FITs, well I would say you haven't really got a choice - ROCS have now stopped - so as far as I know, its FIT or zero. Our FIT rate is lower, at 9p rather than the post announcement 40+p

I would recommend waiting til after the Gen Election - tories say that pioneers will get full rate FIT if they get in, rather than the lower 9p a unit, which will change things massively

If you really want to "close down" and restart, google navitron forums - loads of good advice there

    Thanks
  • Hi, thanks for your comments. As I understand it I have another 90 days to register so waiting might be an option. I also need to consider what happens if I sell my house.
I am currently using TradeLink to administer my ROCs. They say they will waive the £50 charge if I switch to LowCO2 their Green Energy supplier. I assume that means moving from Solarnet, EOn and losing their £40 pa so not much of an incentive. Already spent many days completing paperwork.
    Appreciate the comments.
