Mrs_Arkwright wrote:Jesus I must be tired - I thought your post said you got 12 bottles for £2.07 - not £2.07 per bottle! My fingers have never flown across my keyboard so quickly towards Tesco.com!
Now that would have been a bargain - at that price I would have ordered it by the pallet not the bottle :rotfl:The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
Me too - I should have known it was my eyes being thick. I'm so tired, but I have to stay up and pick up Mr A at 1130 - he is playing poker in a tent in a field somewhere a few miles down the road, drinking scrumpy. My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal0

Have also just been tempted by the online cheap wine - you lot are supposed to be helping me save money - not ruining my first ever no spend day!!!
Ho hum - 12 bottles is clearly saving money in the long run (or will get drunk quicker... mmm ....)DFW Nerd #1310 -
This is a good thread! Well I was tempted by a Mars bar today! doh..
but on a biggers scale.. a £800 holiday to NYC... but got the big nono.. Then started looking at Bike tests.. found a cheap on in Scotland.. can roll in a holiday at the sametime.. free accomindation! Flights only £50.. = very tempted! Then I started looking at Virgin Round the World holidays for my mum's 50th next year! If I save £150 every month I can afford it!!! lol...
And I have decided the sensible option.. lookfor an ipod arm strap on eBay instead!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Some doctor who audio cd's at 40% off on play.com.
i went on to get a DVD in their sale for a friend's b-day present and the related items links further down the page were showing stuff i really like.
I don't *need* them though (and have nowhere to put them)Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!0 -
Yesterday I was tempted by clothes in the shops.
Usually avoid shops (except supermarket) as I just find it too tempting and if I dont see it then I dont know I'm missing it.
Had to go to get a 21st birthday present though. Stayed strong.
Today nothing is tempting me, staying strong.0 -
Not quite as big as 12 bottles of wine (tempting though that is), but I'm very tempted by a nice big unhealthy sandwich for my lunch!
I'm also tempted to spend my birthday vouchers, feel like they're burning a hole in my pocket! But I worry that I would buy c*ap rather than waiting for something good to spend them on!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

jessicamb wrote:Darn grabbit board - Tesco are kindly delivering me 12 bottles of their finest chardonnay for the bargain price of £2.07 bottle inc delivery tomorrow.
I'm looking on it as a saving and will incorporate it into the £60 challenge as and when consumed. :rotfl: (Bending the rules- moi?
)
I couldnt resist the temptation
Is this the same Chardonnay (Australian) that they have just reduced to £1.79?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Good question Minnie.
Strangely I am also tempted by the Orson cd! And equally tempted by some chocolate to cheer myself up as my back has started hurting again
Don't worry Minnie - I am still doing the yoga stretches....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
