  • one word 'rubbish' would not go there again! If yuu can find the space buy a cheap second hand dryer they last forever - in my experience anyway! Oh and I like the sensor type...
  • Had an Ariston washer/dryer and it was rubbish. Took ages to dry anything. Gave up the ghost a couple of months ago and we purchased a bosch washer in it's place.

I also have the same model and I've had the thermostat replaced twice now. The engineer said this was quite common on washer driers and advised me not to buy one again.:(

hi i purchased a zanussi washer dryer one year and one month ago, and guess what it broke down. never dried anything quickly and only dried half a load. After speaking to their so called customer services i was told the costs and it would be cheaper to purchase a new one. Will never purchase anything from this make again.

My advise would be if you can purchase seperates do, if not go for a bosch or miele.

Miele, Bosch or Siemens are the brands I would trust (Siemens I think are made by Bosch?!?!)

You do seem to get what you pay for with appliances ;)

I may be bitter but my Bosch washing machine has just broken, so not too keen on this make at present (it went wrong before, twice, but oh looked on internet forums and managed to fix it). Its about 3 years old but has had heavy use.

Candy washer drier 15 years old, Still perfect only had 1 pump in that time.
Ridiculous posts saying separate is better, of course they are if youve got room.
The whole point of a combined W/D is to save space

Ariston Margherita washer/drier, 15+ yrs old. Only my 2nd washer/drier in over 30 yrs.
I don't know what the quality of any are at the moment, but if I am looking to replace any items then I usually go onto review sites and check. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Don't buy a hotpoint, unless you take out an extended warranty. The heating element has gone at least twice on mine in the last few years.

t does do a good job though if you're prepared to take out extra insurance.
  • We've had the same Hoover washer/dryer for the past 7 years. Do atleast 3 washers a week and it's still going strong (touch wood!).
