  • Got my voucher this morning!

Is it with Lovefilm that you can cancel online after their phone lines have shut? So if you wait until after 10pm you can do it online without phoning them.

I think the dvd's arrive one at a time. You get one/two/three - whatever you've signed up for - and when you send one back they despatch the next in your rental queue.

As with all these offers, it's worth noting that the company's get a bit angsty if loads of people - like on MSE - sign up for the voucher and offer then don't pay for any rentals. Towards the end of the offer period, the company may start to 'lose' dvd's/have dvd's arrive late, that have been returned to them, and then you have to pay.

This has happened a lot in the past.

When I've tried them before, Lovefilm were "iffy" at the best of times. You've only got to search for their name under the vent and ripoff boards to see others' experiences.

I've signed up, but I'm not adding anything to my rental list as yet (as I'm hoping the voucher will come through beforehand and then I can cancel without having to get involved with Lovefilm).

CD Wow on the other hand are great! Thanks to the OP :j

Just thought you might like to see the following I recieved:

We notice that you have had a CD WOW! DVD Rentals account, or an account with a LOVEFiLM powered site, in the past. We only allow one free trial of our service per household, any subsequent reactivations are billed normally. If you do not wish to be charged for this membership, please cancel your account within the next 30 minutes.

I didn't read it until two hours later...................

How quickly did the emails arrive from lovefilm after successfully signing up?
