I am looking to buy my sister out of her share of an inherited property that has no mortgage.
I am looking to borrow £100k against the property which is valued at £185k.
What type of mortgae do i go for ie first time buyer (have never had a mortgae before), rermortgage or capital raising.
Halifax have offered me a mortgage but not sure what type it is
Thanks

We have a major problem
The house is valued at £185k and borrowing £100k.
The solicitor will not sign off as the offer quotes a purchase price of £185k and not £100k
He has contacted the Halifax several times regarding this, Halifax say they are correct. We are in a stalemate. What can we do?0 -
