Post office 2 year 3.15% FIXED ANY GOOD

I have been messed around by Abbey so much that thinking of cancelling my application with them as the sellers are threatening to put the property back on market after waiting for 5 weeks..

Have come across post office 75% LTV -3.15% fixed rate for 2 years which looks good..

Any experiences of dealing with them?? Any recommendation for a quick and competitive mortgage provider ,have all documents and looking for 3x joint annual income..

  • YES. I applied online last Friday (9th) @ 5.10pm. Had a call on Monday stating the application had been successful and that money laundering forms were in the post and a valuation "re-type" had been requested directly from the surveyor.

On Thursday (15th) I had a call stating the valuation had been received and a mortgage offer had been issued. INCREDIBLE. I'm so surprised at how easy it was.

I've bought the same product - 3.15% for 2 yrs for a house purchase.

What I can't understand is that they didn't require any proof of income or anything else. So far, it's been fantastic service.

Compare this to ING. I spent 70mins holding for them on the telephone to discuss porting my current mortgage to my new home and then eventually just gave up. It was a shame as they too had been great to deal with when I started the mortgage with them.

Best wishes if you try PO.
