RBS Mortgage Process Question

Hi Everyone,
I'm a bit of a pessimist and so hoping for some reassurrance please...
We've recently found a house we like, got an agreement in principle, had offer accepted and then spent about 2 weeks going through a full mortgage application - getting payslips sent off and so on.
RBS have accepted the mortgage and instructed a valuation.
My question is, provided the valuation goes through ok, can we now get excited about the prospect of moving in. Or, could further checks AFTER the valuation (ie credit checks) still mean we don't get it?
We have already had a credit check (I can see this on my experian report) so hoping that's it, but just worried that something will go wrong...
I look forward to hearing your thoughts :-)

You should be fine, as RBS do all the processing up front and then instruct the survey.
So assuming the survey goes to plan, then you will be fine.
All lenders reserve the right to do further checks if need be, but if you have no issues then even if they do another credit check, you will be ok anyway.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Great, thank you. I thought (hoped) that was the case but until I have something in writing I get a bit nervous. Fingers crossed that the valuation is ok then :-)
Thanks again0
