HSBC - frustrated

Hi,
My brother and I applied for 90% mortgage with HSBC. First we got quote over the phone etc and very lovely lady from applications sorted us out.
Problems start next. We were advised that to speed up the application (as we live in different parts of the UK) we need to pop into branch and let them scan our payslips etc into the system under our reference numbers. So we did - before Easter. But first problem was when I received a letter this Tuesday that they don't have the payslips!! So I rung them on Wednesday and they said "sorry, we do have them". Some extremely slow talking foreign sounding lady who didn't let you even ask anything, just talked and talked... got no answer to anything really.
Just rung HSBC again, just to make sure that they went ahead and guess what??? They told me that they have no paperwork from us. So I asked them whether they are kidding, that we had this conversation on Wednesday and they actually said that they do have them!!! After they again confirmed that they do have them and they are passing onto credit officer for checks.
How to make sure that they do it this time???? That I don't call back on Monday and they won't tell me that they don't have the payslips??
I took down ladies name and time of call and she said that she is definitely now putting note on the system that they do have the payslips..

Typical HSBC I'm afraid.
The way to make sure it gets done is to simply cross your fingers and hope for the best!
Maybe speak to an actual Mortgage Advisor in the Branch if theres one available? - I'm probably being optimistic here!
Sorry I cant be more helpful!I am a Mortgage Adviser

we applied to hsbc and got an offer recently. we actually met the mortgage manager in branch to have everything sorted, any questions we have, we email him directly and he sorts them out quite quick. maybe its better to have a point of contact, so that you don't get passed around and talk to different people who know nothing about your situation every time you call.0
