What happens when the meter doesn't work?
Options
Hi,
I'm renting and have an economy 7 meter.
Recently had to do meter readings, the low has changed and seems fine, the normal hasn't changed in last 4 months.
The electric company are coming to replace the meter as it's obviously faulty.
But what happens with being charged for electric usage over the last 4 months?

They will estimate according to your previous bills - if you've been in the property a while just see how many kWh you used in the similar period last year.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

They'll replace the meter with a new one that is working for both normal and low, then take two readings from the new meter to try and estimate what you've used in the last 4months. To be honest, you're laughing if you have Electric heating, as you'll probably use less now than 4 months ago
Phone the supplier and explain your meter is not registering usage on your day register
