    Cats make me wheeze.

I always thought it would be the perfect way to kill me (How upbeat am I!) Lock me in a room with cats, wait till I had wheezed myself to death and then remove said cats. The perfect crime.

p.s. I don't want to hear of a sudden death spree based on this folks.

I just don't want to be one of the first planes up there just in case.

They are not going to send any up until they are sure the skies are clear. Once you get volcanic ash into the engines you are completely screwed and I don't think they want to deaths of 300 a time on their conscience (?) or their insurance.

All it needs is a change of wind direction - here's hoping!

OH wanted a lift about half a mile to his mates. He then said he'd want one tomorrow lunch to go drinking in town when the football on (again, probably the fourth weekend in a row even including one weekend when I wasn't around to take him and he tutted loudly).

I said as I had sat around until nearly 8.30 waiting for him to bother turning up when I wanted to have a drink and chill out, he could maybe take himself half a mile to his mates and leave his car there and that I was tired of being his weekend taxi service when the only time he wanted to see me during the day was to take him drinking somewhere. He replied 'well, if you really can't wait to have a drink'. I told him clearly but quietly it was about him only thinking of his own needs and what he wanted and when he wanted it and he had to stop transferring the responsibility all the time for his actions.

I went to get a bottle of wine whilst he was getting ready and I think it gave him time to mull it over. He's driven himself to his mates and he will probably walk off his hangover in the morning to get his car.

I felt making me sit around yet again whilst he faffed around was taking the pish. However much he wants to be Kevin the teenager, I refuse to be his mother.

I've also resisted the temptation of a chinese, put on a big load of SW chips, slipped into something more comfortable and poured a huge glass of rose.

A question mark is right - they don't want to smear a several hundred million pound plane. It affects their no-claims bonus...
