IF.com lending criteria generosity?

Hi all
I have an IF mortgage that has been open since 2007, I have overpaid and now want to borrow right back to the max again to fund an extension.
Does anyone know if their lending criteria have tightened up? They used to lend quite large multiples, wondering if this has changed.
I don't want to pay £160 fee only to find they will not lend me any more!
Cheers
Alex

Who do you think would be able to give you an accurate answer?0

I was hoping one of the helpful folk on here could...0

It is IF who will make that decision0

Some Q&As on their web site.
Personally I'd call. They stopped new lending all together last year but appear to have changed their plans.
Do these quotes help? Can I use the pre-agreed reserve available on my mortgage?
Yes, you can still drawdown your pre-agreed reserve while it's available on your mortgage.
Can I apply for a further advance or transfer to another Intelligent Finance mortgage product?
Yes.0 -
Yes, thanks, I will call them sometime. I spoke to them earlier though and they said that I'd have to pay £160 first off.
Just to clarify my original post, I was wondering if IF are still known for generous lending or have maybe tightened up, just in case anyone has had quotes off them recently or perhaps some brokers might know.
Looks like Alliance and Leicester are still as generous as ever, according to their online calculator at least.0 -

So could you tell someone a question that was directed at the lender or guarantee them something?0 -
I am starting to feel sorry I bothered to post :rolleyes:0

Sometimes people can find picking up the phone quite intimidating.
Asking a question on a forum may help to give them them the confidence to do what they really need to do.0
