This is a letter by (niddy) Never-in-doubt that asks for a default removal in exchange for a F&F. Only you may want to check with niddy first before you send it that its the right one to send with regards to your debt being unenforcable.
Its the same letter to send, however they are under no pressure to remove the DN. Basically the more the debtor shows willingness to pay an unenforceable debt, shows the DCA/Lender that they will do anything to get it removed, so they play on this to get more money!
Basically send the letter off, starting with a £1k offer and see what they come back with, its a time consuming battle and they will try and agree to all sorts, you must check that they have agreed to the points, at the base of the template (i.e. removal of default)....
Never speak to them on the phone - always deal in writing.
In a nutshell, a satisfied default is the same as an outstanding default, to prospective lenders
Thanks Tixy :T

I notice they play on things more when you contact them. im confused what to do really. if there not going to remove the default and just change it to satisfied i mays well just leave it to see if anything comes of it. But there again even tho they said they would be no further action taken unless they find the documents a !!!!!! would close things for me. Ill give a bit of time before i try work out whats best. Thanks for you help.0 -

Hiya
We've advised what to do - if you have a spare grand then send the F&F Settlement in exchange for default removal letter.... if you do not have a spare grand then do nothing and wait til it drops off in 6 years!

Decisions Decisions.....
In fact for £500 i'll get the DN wiped for you :rotfl: (sorry my sick sense of humour).... seriously, you need to decide how much if anything you are willing to pay, however note any F&F offer does affect statute barred... but shouldn't matter being it is unenforceable...
