IVA Questions

Ive been reading through the forum and a lot of my answers on IVAs have been answered however there are a couple that I cannot find the answer to or have missed.

1/ Is there a company that will deal with the IVA over the emails and post. I know this sounds odd but i got rid of my landline and mobile and the only access to a phone I have is at work. The problem arising is its an open plan office and I have no privacy. I can get access to email/internet at work and not bee seen but I can always be heard.

I have also gone through friends and family and TBH with one very slight chance it doesnt look good.

2/When I looked on one website with a calculator on it said I had to pay at least 350 a month (i have £33000) oteherwise they would insist on bancruptcy. (I cannot go into bankruptcy as my future job position could be affected) Is this correct or is there a chance of a lower amount.

3/ I have negotiated reduce payments on most of my debts ARe they likely to accept a IVA when a reduced payment has been agreed.

4/ My GF is currently at UNi and finishes in 3 years. I know you cannot take additional credit while on the IVA would this include a secured mortgage. I don't mind waiting the extra couple of years it was just more of a general question.

thank in advance

Hmm, I'd recommend simply buying a very cheap PAYG phone or something. I can strongly recommend Payplan (non-profit making organisation) and they were always happy to ring me back on my mobile if I'd rung them.

To have a realistic offer of 30% youd need to repay around £300 per month so I would have thought it more than feasible.

This wont make any difference to their decision. It'll be down to whether your offer fits their IVA criteria

Dont knwo but with an IVA over your head I wouldnt have thought youd get any kind of morgage with a decent rate.
