Has anyone paid off a creditor on a DMP and 'got away with it'

Hi
Make sure that you let them know that the £115 is only available to settle your debt with them otherwise your family member will withdraw his/her offer. You don't want them refusing your offer then saying " well you can pay the £115 off your balance"DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -

if you do want to edit it i would personally go down the route of saying that if they do not accept the offer the money will be offered to one of your other creditors, mainly becuase some creditors might just turn around and say well the family member doesnt need to know its not a full settlement do they.
however that being said the template you have got is the right one
NOTE if you are going to put it as scouselad has said you NEED to change the wording of this paragraph
I can confirm that I am unable to offer to pay the money which I owe in full due to being in a debt management plan with payplan (reference number - xxxx ) and already using all our available income to pay off our debt. However, I have been given £115 from a family member and I want to offer this as an ex-gratia payment in full and final settlement of the account. This offer is made on the clear understanding that, if accepted, neither you or any associate company will take any other action to enforce or pursue this debt in any way whatsoever and that I will be released from any liability.
that 'given' would need to be changed to 'offered'
however if you go down the route that if rejected it will be offered to another creditor you would not need to change itDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
just noticed, you DO need to edit it quickly to put in that you require a response within 14 days
and no do not use your normal signature, 'sign' it in block capitals as everDrop a brand challenge
