will i get a morgage ...any advice please

my hubby lost his job i owe 18,000 on credit cards i am late with my payments i also hav loans which i missed payments but i hav now caught up with, i hav sold my house to help pay off my debts i will pay the credit cards off also, i will come out with about £50,000 after clearin everythin
i would love to buy a house again with the 50,000 as a deposit will any morgage people touch me ..
i am only 35 ..

Can't see you getting a mortgage with late payments on credit cards and loans. I'd think that paying off your credit cards, renting and building up your credit file while waiting for your husband to get a new job would be the best bet.

my hubby just got a new job thank god ....i know what u mean about renting but it takes 6 years to get good credit file again x

Why don't you go to a mortgage adviser and go through the numbers with him? Maybe if your salary multiple is very low you'll have more luck?

I think you need to consider a period of renting to prove to yourself that you have your finances under control will never need to borrow other than a mortgage again save up for things have an emergency fund proper budgets etc..

Buying and sellng houses is expensive and you don't want to make the same mistakes again
