Savings Challenge Ideas?

Hi All
I read a thread earlier today about a woman who was having a paying off a debt race with her other half. It seemed like a cool way to try to reduce her debt (i like a challenge and love competing in most things).
I was thinking then how much i could actually save or how much debt i could pay off in a short space of time if i really tried? I thought about this site and wondered if anyone was up for creating a savings challenge?
Im a total newbie so wouldnt really know how to go about setting up a challenge but i wondered if one of the more experienced members may be interested?
