Settled Credit Account > No CCA - Can I have default removed?

Hi All,
Looking for some advice if I may! I got into some difficulty at the end of my degree when I was let go by my employer. I managed to finish my studies but picked up a couple of default's in the process.
I've repaid my Littlewoods catalogue account in full but have this default hanging over me for a few years yet. I've asked them to supply a copy of the credit agreement and they've written to me today confirming that they don't have one.
Do I have any scope to ask them to remove the default notice, or is it more complex than that and I'm looking at an application to court?
I'm trying to buy my first house and I'm being asked for a 35% deposit minimum!
Thanks very much in advance!

If you defaulted on the contract and they lawfully applied the default, you will struggle to get it removed. Did they send you default notices?
Absence of a CCA agreement does not mean they cannot place or have to remove defaults. This was settled in the high courts - McGuffick v RBSAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Thanks for the help.
I ended up with a couple of defaults, at the time it was the least of my worries so I honestly couldn't say what I did or didn't received unfortunately.
Are there any avenues I could explore or is it simply a case of sitting it out?0
