See I do understand the whole voting to stop the wrong lizard getting in, but I'm just thinking that now we seem to be in a position where a hung parliament seems likely, it offers up an almost unprecedented opportunity to the libdems.
I'm thinking especially so if the debates go their way, and also, if the polls still point to hung parliament (with reasonable libdem presence) come election day.0 -

I think I'll vote Lib Dem, but I'm not sure, 'cos I'm scared of the wrong lizards getting in power. Let's set up a poll, and if the results are ok then I think I'll give them my first ever vote. Lets show both Labour AND the Tories that we are sick of them both. 2 horse race no more. This is WAY more fun than monopoly.0

Privatise, I suggest reading the rest of the thread to understand.
Skitz, the polls seem to show roughly 37% con, 31 lab, and 20 LD. Although thats before the LD manifesto came out, which may have changed a few things, plus soon there'll be the televised debates, which folks seem to think the LD can benefit from.
I have a real feeling that a good percentage of the Con and Lab vote (especially the lab) is people voting to keep another power out.0 -
You'd think that there would be more people voting libdem to give the 'other two' a slap in the face, but looking at the polls it doesnt look that way (so, I must be wrong).
In my area, the tory vote + the libdem vote combined would oust the labour candidate, its almost an exact split vote. 3-party politics is tricky.
For me, the libdems refusal to talk about what they'd do in a hung parliament is a bit sneaky, if they're trying to be the most open party. Guess they dont want to lose the anti-lab votes or the anti-tory vote...
Personally I'll try not to vote tactically - a vote is a vote of support for that party's views regardless of result. e.g. voting Green or whatever is still a register of your support for them.0 -
I am probably voting lib dem, but think it will be wasted as local %s seem to be about 20% ld, 40% lab 40% toryWe cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

Lib Dem for me, and I think I'll put a few quid on 'em too. You never know... 200/1, that's nice sugar.0

A vote for the lib-dems is a guaranteed wasted vote because they would surrender even more control to the unelected EU, which the lib-dems support with a passion.
I know people tend to roll their eyes when confronted with that awful truth, because they find the subject of the EU both boring and complicated., but it's a fact.
Vote lib-dem and you will have even less control over what happens in Britain.0
