Getting Money Back

Hi there, I wondered if anyone could help me. Back in October I lent my boss (stupidly) some money as he was having a cashflow problem. I had recently sold my house and lent him £9,000 which was money I had made and was to do my new house up. The understanding was that he would pay me back the following week. I still haven't received this money and it looks as if the company is going to go under. What can I do to ensure I get this money back (I paid it directly into the company account by OTR). Please somebody help me!!!!!

  • Hi take legal advice straight away did you have a written agreement? can you prove that you leant him this money? I was leant some money by a so called friend with no legal agreement however because he could prove that I had been paying him amounts over time I was advised that he did not need a written agreement and that a verbal one was as good - you could perhaps ??? take out a third party debt order if you know where he banks?
