You might want to post this on the benefits forum rather than child support - as you would get some advice there.
Congratulations on your bump

If you quit your job, you won't be entitled to anything straight away.
Is there not something else you can do rather than working directly with the horses?
You also need to supply some more details if you want help, like if you pay rent/mortgage, will you get maternity leave/pay etc
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
As the others have said the benefits area would be better - however I am sure that it is your legal right to ask for a slightly different position in your job due to your baby - and it is also a legal requirement for your employer to conduct a risk assessment of how your pregnancy affects your job - it is an official form that all employers have to fill out but sadly rarely do - I worked for a solicitors so obviously they had to obey the law, but anyway I am pretty sure that you do have the right to ask to work away - and if they try to offer redundancy, no-one can be made redundant because they are pregnant, so dont take that option either. Obviously I appreciate you probably dont want to rock the boat at work but i'm also sure that you understand the risks of working around such large animals whilst pregnant, and that you have to put yourself and baby first - so speak to whoever you need to at work asap. Good luck!0
