Earning extra income from Germany?!

Hi all,
I'll be moving to Germany for a year or two in August with my hubby who is with the Forces. Though I'm excited and looking forward to it, I'm at the same time worried about the loss of income.
I have been working full time all my life as we don't have children (only 2 doggies!), I'm still intend to at least work part time while I'm there so that I can have a bit of pocket money to do what I want.
Though there are some dependant jobs with the Army, many required vetting and thorough checks e.g. CRB etc, my worry is that because my credit files are trashed with defaults or possibily CCJs due to my debts..I just don't want it to be known as that would probably affect my hubby somehow, so I'm trying to come up with something I can be self employed but can't think of what to do?!?!
I haven't got much skills apart from secretarial and Sales/ Marketing expereince, I'm thinking along the lines of
- dog walking (but I doubt there will be much demand),
- selling something online?! (can't think of what though!)
- trying to get some qualification for beauty treatments before we move so I can offer beauty services to other army wives?
- writing up food blogs? (I'm a keen foodie and have set up a basic blog site but don't know how to generate income with)
Can someone suggest anything else? I feel like a failure now :(that I realised that I have no skills to fall back on even though I used to have a very good income..but probably working in jobs that I don't actually enjoyed much. Maybe this is a time to have a fresh start?!:)

I can't help you with your question, but I just wanted to say good luck. My other half is in the forces and based in Germany, and although I don't live out there with him I really enjoy visiting as he's based in a lovely place close to so many different things and everyone out there is really friendly. I'd be quite happy if I had to move out there for a couple of years.
There is also a forces forum on here, so maybe ask on there and someone from overseas might be able to advise you?0 -

Thanks for letting me know, Bargain Galore! I've removed it now! Sorry!
yes, I'm sure it'll be great there..I did lived in Germany before when I was in Uni and speaks basic German but not good enough to get work with though. I know that I'll be left alone a lot as Hubby will have to go to Canada for training soon after we arrive and working long hours with his new posting..so It'll be me and the doggies in a foriegn land!Pinklover xx0
