Re Mortgaging Questions + Brokers in Hampshire

Hi all I am after some advice about my mortgage and the fact that i am now due for a remortgage.
I currently have a mortgage with the chelsea, which the fixed rate deal ends in a month and it is time to re mortgage.
Does anyone know or recommend any good independant brokers in the Hampshire area? Around Jcn 9 of the M27, preferably ones you have used or personnal recommendations on, or is there a good site to search for them on?
My current mortgage is £107k on a property worth approx £150-155k. We are getting married in december so when i remortgage i would like to increse it to take some money out to cover this. But i am tyring to stay at the 85% LTV, so would like to borrow £127ish.
Our joint income is around £35k plus some bonuses, are the figures do able and does anyone have any advice on good deals/lenders at the moment. Or should i remortgage with the Chelsea?
Oh i would prefer a fixed rate if possible as we liek to know our outgoings every month
Many thanks
Ian

I used to live off J9 M27 in Park gate, Collingworth Rise.
Used to love eating in Kams Palace, excellent food.

I would suggest you call the Chelsea to see what they can offer you by way of rate and amount. Also ask them what fees are involved in re-mortgageing with them.
This will give you something to compare other lenders against in a true cost comparison.
Remember that the cheapest rate is not necessarily the best mortgage product.

I know an independant broker in Hedge End who does home visits. He is literally 10 minutes from you.
Let me know if you want his details

Cheers Andy,
I live a couple of minutes walk from Kams palace, just off Hunts pond rd! I know collingsworth rise very well! with some friends living there at the moment. Fantastic food in there, and the Talisman is a much nicer drinking establishment now then it used to be a few years ago! Many a night in there drinking Fursty ferret or festive Pheasant!
I am organising an appointment with the chelsea next week to discuss options, but wanted to gauge opinions on them or any other product available.
is it worth using an independant or trying to find one locally? We used countrywide when we set up the mortgage as they were in the estate agents and pushed us up the "hot" list, although i must admit i have been doing some research on life insurances,a nd not convinced they sold us the best or cheapest at the time so i need ot re do this aswell i think.
Can a mortgae broker sort out a better deal on my country life insurance and critical illness (is this worth it?) aswell0 -
They can most likely yes, but it depends on a number of issues.
Have a chat with the guy I know, he will look into it for you. Best of all, he doesn't charge.

Greetings from Junction 7 (my parents live just off J9 - Locks Road - and yes the Talisman is the best pub in the area
).
If you want a local broker then I would recommend Now Mortgages - https://www.now-mortgages.co.uk They are based in Segensworth East, search the whole market and are part of the Enfields chain.
They arranged my original mortgage and remortgage with no problems. Cathy Emms is who I dealt with. I am going to use them again when my current fixed deal ends.0 -
