Help please!

We are going to Legoland next weekend and I need some advice please.
We will be travelling down on Friday (will take about 4 hours) I have planned a picnic tea for the friday night so this will be no problem.
However I also need a picnic lunch for the Saturday at Legoland.
Now I have the option to go to Tesco's (or similar) and get some fresh sandwiches in the morning but would prefer to take my own if possible.
Is there any way I can keep a picnic fresh from Friday lunchtime to Saturday lunchtime? (sandwiches, sausage rolls, salad etc)
Any ideas much appreciated.

Hi SeeWeed,

When we are travelling long distances and need to keep food cold, I freeze the sandwiches and anything else that we are planning to have that is freezable.

I lift them out of the freezer just before we leave and pack in the coolbag, surrounded by frozen bottles of water (wrapped in a teatowel or as they defrost they will make everything soggy). This usually keeps everything well chilled for up to 24 hours.
