Hi,
I have recently signed up as an Ann Summers party organiser. I have not yet received my kit but want some help as I need to get th ball rolling with this asap. Could any other Ann Summers advisors please give me some tips on:-
1. Getting bookings? - I've had loads of friends say their interested in planning a party but won't set a date as they're "skint"
2. Finding prospective bookings? Where would I start advertising? Etc
3. How do I combat nerves? I'm sure il be fine after th 1st few parties but at th min, I'm feeling really nervous?
Any hints, tips or advice about this or any other factors of being an ann summers organiser would really be appreciated.
Thanks xx

Hi.
I'm not, never have been and never will be an Ann Summers rep, however may I contribute?
Could you post notice cards in your local shops etc? Even in the local paper.
That might be the best way to get the ball rolling, and from those first few parties word of mouth, recommendations etc would bring repeat business.
As for nerves, may I suggest a cheeky drink beforehand? ;-) Not if you're driving though obviously.Trust me.... I know what I'm doing.0 -
Advertising - friends, free adds local paper, as for nerves, what about an icebreaker game. when I went to one a few yrs ago, the host passed a toilet roll around and we all broke off what we thought we needed, the idea was to see whether anyone had took enuf to wrap themsleves up, small prize was given to the one who got the nearest. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Hello
I have also recently signed up to be an Ann Summers rep. You could say to your friends it doesn't matter that they're skint, the party is free, and you could always put on the order forms the date they want payment taken from their card as the Ann Summers party I went to last week did exactly that. (Don't know if it was against rules though)
With nerves, I was told that they won't "throw you in the deep end" and will take you to a few other parties where you will help rather than give you your pack and let you go.
I've advertised on Facebook for mine, asked friends etc.. and currently waiting on my pack to get started, I've not asked for specific dates just yet because of this. But if you have Facebook & Twitter or even Bebo (But make sure of their ages as I know a lot of younger people are on there) then thats a good way of advertising, shop windows or notice boards, Friday-Ad, local message boards & friends and family. Word does get around! After your first party, you can easily get a few party bookings from there.
Good luck!0 -
I used to be a Unit Organiser. Your Unit Organiser will help you get over your nerves and everything like that, and give you plenty of training with how to demonstrate the products *ahem* and get bookings. Once you've been with the company a little while, you'll be able to canvass for bookings in the stores which can be a great source of bookings.
Facebook is fantastic - but also be careful not to annoy your friends too much by spammingSet up a group and send out a weekly message with whatever 'Special Offers' you can come up with.
ALWAYS get an exact date for parties. Even if that date is then changed, you've got something to work towards (as has the hostess). NEVER say "in a few weeks" or you'll find they forget about it or just decide they don't want it as no one is coming.
Type "free ads" in google.co.uk and advertise on there. Offer something special - free bottle of bubbly or mystery gift worth £20 to get ladies' attention. Remember to be positive and list the benefits of having a party (great night in with the girls, fun and games, etc. etc.)
Lastly - HAVE A HOME PARTY YOURSELF!!!!!!! Invite every lady you know, practice games and demonstrations, you'll get orders and few bookings and start from there0
