Grundig Freesat+ HD Digital TV Recorder

Have seen this advertised at £280. I currently pay "Sly" £60 a month for a HD box and a sky+ box.
It seems to be madness paying money out when i can get what we watch for free. Although i have heard skysports is about to be given away free ??
Anyway what i'd like to know is - has anyone else got one of these and are they worth the initial outlay.

If indeed you don't actually watch any of Sky's subscription channels, then there's not much point paying for it. A Freesat+ box would be the way to go.

I highly doubt Sky Sports will be given away free. Sky have paid multi millions for the football rights and the Sports package is the single most expensive package they have.

The box itself seems to get favourable reviews, the price reflecting the size of the hard disc.

We bought 1 of these when they were on offer at Costco, to be honest we had a few problems with it, so swapped it for a Humax Foxsat from Tesco (£249), it's much quieter and more user friendly and as yet we have had no problems with it. It only has a 320gb hd whereasthe Grundig box has 500gb
