                    Hi All
I'm studying PC related stuff and need a knockabout PC to tinkle with.. including going inside and playing with all the hardware in the machine. I need a working model and something which can handle software reasonably well.. I'm just looking for a dirt cheap PC and not as a replacement to my main PC.. any suggestions?

The Dell refurbishment outlet is good, here is a forum dedicated to getting bargains from it; http://www.outletbargains.co.uk/0

Joe-C, is it worth registering or is there anywhere else that offers info on the best bargains from Dell?

forget about dell as tinker material , they are primarrilly boxed to shift and minimium spec , all onboard etc.
Best bet is to check out you local comp shop for a "base" unit , without any onboard vga though , this would give you the most tinekring per coin.
If you cant find anything in your locale theres plenty online that do a custom and affordable build , you can even buy the parts from cough pc world components site individually.0
