I would get my team in there straight away and pinch it from the adviser that is doing nothing but earning from it.As to which sectors, depends on your "attitude to risk". What is this "typical UK investor"? I have yet to find one. Each and everyone is different and making assumptions like that is dangerous.
They're the ones who got put into With profits bonds and endowments, Balanced managed funds and the like.It's about 80% of the investing public IIRC.
Cautious, low-medium risk profile.
They probably don't bother with advisors any more as they're fed up with losing money by being put into products which are higher risk.Trying to keep it simple...
