They haven't just realised, they are doing it to try and gain votes over issues raised in the media, there are plenty of things that need to be addressed as voiced in here - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=31766963#post31766963
Bank charges is just one of a very long list.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
I'm sick and tired of the politicians aswell.....and the focus on politicians wives rather than having a more representative sample of people as MPs. MPs need to be focused on the big and small financial issues and on serving their constituents. Examples like the mortgage assistance scheme finishing just after the election prove that they haven't got it.

As DarkConvict says, this is simply a ploy to gain votes. Their focus-groups and polling will have indicated what to include in their press releases and manifestos, and they are just doing what we have come to expect our politicians to do - lie until they get elected and then just forget about manifesto promises.
BTW, has anyone seen any detailed explanation of how the 'portable bank account number' system is supposed to work.
I (in common with many forum members) have many accounts - some of them are identical types of account (current accounts, fixed term accounts) where the only distinguishing factor is the differing account numbers.

No, they have done nothing of the sort, they just used you, Martin, to supply the content of the now released manifestos, and I am just shocked you can not see that.
Been here before, and already know the outcome, unless Jo Public has truly had enough, and it will have nothing to do with party manifestos if that is the case, nor your ’MSE manifesto’ Martin, all you achieved was an excellent bit of PR work, for all parties, unless things change AFTER they are elected, which history shows is unlikely, you have been used, just like the rest of us.
They claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?
Its too late, always has been, always will be.

Then you're simply looking in the wrong places, bylromarha.
There is endless fascination amongst the hundreds of 'minor' parties. Some of their emblems are minor works of art (or at least funny cartoons), their descriptions are pithy and to the point, and we can look forward to publicity material with relish.
