not as bad as the topic sounds.
but i have finaly decided to buy my house. one of the major reasons is well im allready paying rent and for less than what the rent is i could be buying it.
so its still kinda DFW saving money by paying less rent
it was kinda a hard choice getting more debt. but after all your help with my SOA, gen advice, etc i have the cash aval to do it
so in a month or so i will be knocking around the MFW board as well
.
one thing i looked at and decided NOT to do was to get a bigger than needed mortgage i still plan to chip away at the rest of that 15k bit by bit

:T congratulations on joining 'the club'!
buying property is imho a 'good debt'. it's an investment and as you say saves you a fortune in rent.0 -
Yep
I went straight from living at home to buying my own place - its mortgaged up to the hilt buts theres equity here when I do some cosmetic jobs and get a new kitchen & bathroom. And best of all I'm not paying somebody elses mortgage for them :rotfl:The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0
