Think about South Wirral between Liverpool and Chester for good Unis.Good area low crime half hour away from both with decent transport links.

Friend works on north sea rigs and gets free flights to his closest airport so hes moved to Tenerife

Live here in the Isle of man, you could get to Liverpool on the fastcraft, you would pay hell of a lot less tax, no traffic jams, not much worry about crime or unemployment, you would not have to worry about the one eyed jock or any other of the 3 wise monkeys ruling your life and to top it all you could have a beautiful sea view.

I really enjoyed living in North Staffordshire - beautiful countryside but close to the city so everything was available. Property very cheap too, but again as with anywhere in the country, pick your area carefully!!
