Capability Procedure

I would be grateful if anyone could share their experience with me if they have been through a Capability Procedure.
I have recently attended my first Capability Hearing due to not hitting set targets over the last 3 months.
I've been with the company for over 9 years and apart from the odd bad month things have never been so dire.
I get commission so have every incentive to do well. Over the last 3 months I have increased my activity but this is unfortunately not producing the required results.
At the hearing it was stated that the situation would be reviewed over the coming few weeks and a decision on what would happen next would be discussed at a second hearing.
Looking at the coming few months targets and what is needed in order to make even half of the amount - it is almost certain that it will be deemed that the Capability Process will have to be continued.
My question is - what was the general timescale from start to finish?
Many thanks for any input.

There isn't really a typical timescale as such as each situation is different.
You should be getting a detailed timetable of deliverables, whats expected and any support you have asked for or the company need.

Thank you jdturk and vader123 for your replies.
jdturk - its the office as a whole which is underperforming - all staff are included in the Capability Procedure.
vader123 - i am still waiting for the notes from the hearing to be sent to me so will see what it contains and then go from there.
I was hoping that the process will take at least 6 months so that at least i can get a bit of money saved up and hopefully line up another job.
It's a shame that it has come to this but as i was told in the hearing " The company is running at a loss" where our office is concerned.0
