Hello,

We are planning a wedding for next year, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on venues used in the Warwickshire/West Midlands area.

Ideally we are looking for some nice country barn which we could and do the reception and where we can bring our own caters and drink.

Any ideas greatly appreicated.

  • Dunchurch hotel is very nice. My favourite place local would have to be coombe abbey though.

Curradine Barns, Shrawley looks ideal :)

Longbarn Village might be worth looking at, but they seem to mention only a marquee in the grounds. However, they have a Wedding Fayre on 8 October, which might be worth a visit.

Dodmoor House? but that's Northants, near Daventry

    Packington Moor near Lichfield

    HTH

Lea Marston seems nice, went there for a wedding a couple of years ago. Nice hotel, golf course, 2 event rooms for weddings or conferences, restaurant, etc. Can have ceremony there. J9 M42. http://www.leamarstonhotel.co.uk/

    Drayton Manor, near Tamworth, Staffs - J9 M42 http://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/WeddingReceptions.aspx

Coombe Abbey, Coventry is lovely http://www.coombeabbey.com/weddings/

I suppose it depends exactly where you live and how far you want to travel. Also whether you are marrying at the venue or elsewhere.

    Have fun planning it though!

    Hi,
I went to a lovely wedding last weekend at Ettington Hall near Stratford which was really nice. I know the bride and groom brought there own drink but think the venue provided the food.

Also there is a place called the Woodhouse in Princethorpe which is a popular choice for wedding venues in the area. Really nice country setting but not sure again about food or drink. They do have a restuarant that i have visited several times and really enjoy the food.

Seeing Ettington Hall this weekend, along with Coombe abbey. Hopefully it will be what we are after!

Oh wow, it is really nice at Ettington, the setting for photos outside was really nice and the food was excellent. Good luck in your hunt :)
