    Seth,

    Great post.... wow.

I went in today and wanted some sun tan lotion for my holiday next week, found the 50% off voucher in the till area (bournmouth castlepoint) and went to get some from the summer skincare range.

As it so cheep I thought I would go for the expensive facial sunscreen instead of the normal slap all over stuff. Grabbed three to get the 3 for price of two and went to pay.

When she rang them through they came to £2.36 for all three  , well she nearly fell over and refused to sell them to me for that price. She then did it manally, said she had done the free one at half price and tried to chrage me £9, I said "if the free one is half price you are giving me nothing" :( so I told her to forget it.

Went to another till and they did it no problem, it was so good I went back for another three:D

    Great post seth:)

They wouldn't let me me £5 of £10 No7 voucher on No7 summer sun at my local Boots store.

just to check have other managed to use it OK??
Do you mean the £5 off voucher you get given when you spend £10. (Code SK-something)?

On the back it says you can use it for Boots No7 skincare, including the Summer Skin range, (currently half price and on 3 for 2). I tried to use it for No 7 cosmetics but the assistant told me that it was No7 skincare only, but she would try it anyway. She was right, it didn't work for the cosmetics, but it did work a treat for the Summer Skin stuff.

    I bought:

    lip protector
    pre-sun exfoliating scrub
    firming sun lotion
    hair protector spritz
    revitalising facial aftersun
    evening fragrance spritz

in various combinations of 3, all at £2.75, (half price), and on 3 for 2, so I only paid for 2 of them. Cost - £5.50 for each lot of three items. I used a skincare voucher each time and got each lot of 3 for 50p.

I also bought some of the other items in the range, including:

    body gleam sun lotion
    firming pre-holiday balm
    cooling aftersun spritz

on sale at £4.25 and £4.75, (half price, but I didn't bother with the 3 for 2 this time). I used a £5 voucher each time to get the item free.

(I had quite a few vouchers, as some of my bargain Boots parcels had them in, plus I bought a lot of sale stuff in store for xmas and birthday presents at knock down prices, and put them through in lots of £10 to maximise the number of vouchers I got back.)

Result, entire family and friends' presents bought for birthday and Christmas for this year at LEAST, loads of almost free summer skin stuff for me, sis and teen daughter, to use on our bargain holiday to the Costa Dorada at Easter. Sis and I have decided that the firming items will definitely come in handy now we are 39 and 41 respectively. - Teenage daughter is already firm, so she's not getting any!!

  • hi,

whats the best and the cheapest things to get with these £5 skincare vouchers instore. Also how many can you use at a time and do you have to use 1 per transcation or roll up to the till with say £50 worth and hand over all my £50 skincare vouchers.

    me is confuzzled!

i havent a clue what the products are and can you tell me whereabouts they'll be!

    Back at last

I did split my purchases into lots of £5.00 (or just over)

I only had 2 vouchers - but managed to get 2 bags of summer skin for my trouble.

As most of what was left was firming creams - i'm looking forward to having the firmest thighs in town (not!!!!)
