Gonzo, hope the bug leaves your house quickly, and I'm glad they're being so thorough with your FIL.
Today I am going to finish the first draft of my book and do a little housework.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Sal, sorry I kept missing your messages on FB...kids have been a *little* hyper this morning!

I have had some very welcome news this morning which has taken a huge weight off my mind and I feel very relieved. Thanks everyone for bearing with me the last week or so."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Morning all,
The sun is shining and I'm happy! I've got a telephone interview for a job tomorrow, that if I get will mean my debt will be gone in 4 months! :rotfl: The only downside is that it's out the UK.
Sending lots of love to everyone.

Aww thank you.
:rotfl: After saying how good the Piz Buin Allergy sun cream was last night, I realised I forgot to put it on to go to the park, and have woken up with sun rash....dozy mare."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Thanks for that sammy, think I might get a netbook as they are the cheapest and I really don't need anything big to surf the net, type up work docs etcI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Hi all,
The sun is shining and I have pots to move and veg to replant. Think I'll get my suncream on and sit on the balcony to do it.
Just had a chat with someone from my last workplace about my last day. She said she was laughing as they were trying to pile these jobs on me 2 hours before I was due to leave and 5 days after they'd paid me and given me my redundancy. I was amazingly diplomatic for me - didn't spit my coffee over them or tell them where to go!

Sal if you are typing things up you could probably do with a bigger screen and keyboard! net books are great for notes and basic surfing but not suitable for long dose's for keyboard work
if money is a massive problem and it is only going to be used for the net and some basic office jobs have you considered getting a laptop with no operating system installed and then putting Ubuntu on (Linux) which is great for 95% of normal use's only major things people gripe about is gaming and iTunes - however the latest version of Ubuntu has a alternative to iTunes which includes a music store and basically works the same
if you went down this route you could go for something like this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/185894 which will be much better than a netbook for most jobsDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
