You could try Vistaprint for getting free business cards done, you have to pay postage and packing but it still works out quite cheap. Once you are signed up with them they keep sending offers for business cards and other things like postcards, magnets, keyrings.
I would try that before Adwords as that can be quite expensive, Adwords does help get visitors to the site but visits don't always convert to sales and you have to pay each time someone clicks an advert. It would be a good way of advertising if you had the money to spend on it but I think you have to spend a fair amount to see results from it.0 -
For a home-baked site, there is nothing essentially wrong with it, it is a superb effort from someone who is obviously not a web designer / developer.
To improve it further, it would make more sense to pay a web firm, rather than having to 'obtain' and learn the software and skills necessary to take it further.
The OP is better off concentrating on the things that will generate income. Whistles and bells don't pay the bills, customers do.0 -
Facebook, local free newspaper ads, if you have an ebay account you could have an ebay shop with links to your website, if you're a member of forums that allow you to have your website domain as your sig etc...
This could generate viewers which could be potential buyers."We are the change that we seek."0 -

There are about 150 million billion tips on this link - once you have your site sorted out (although I would follow the advice that the site might need a bit of tarting up first!):

HI
I see you also use yola?
I am in a similar trade to you and i can already see that your image res is way too high.
You need to first download a image shrinker software and then reupload your images (remember to del the old ones from the server). Why not take a look at one of my sites
Just google photographicrestorationuk.....The s is meant to be missing in restorations.
Also if you visit f-u-s-s.yolasite.com you will find a free pic downloader on the (giveaway page)
I hope this helps.
I tend to sell more from shows than online to be honest as customers like to see what they are getting. sadly some lowlifes stael online imagies and claim then
I can also send you a code to put on a yola page to prevent right click (used on my restoration gallery)

nice website!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
It takes time to get on google, let alone a steady flow of visitors!
Your website looks clean for a beginner but very basic.
The roman artwork strip across the top looks like it has been cut off in a way that you havent been able to sort it out properly, it also overlaps with the page links, making them hardly visible. It needs to be clearer.
Try to keep the pages shorter in length as it is annoying to scroll down with large images, make them smaller and maybe put them side by side too.
I have also been playing about with yolasite web builder and here is an example of one of my sites.
http://rx7.yolasite.com/
You will notice I have limited the page(s) to a couple of decent quality images, the page links bar is very clear so easy to navigate / use.
Text is also clear, neat and tidy so someone looking at it can easily find what they're after.
Only one or two scrolls down with my mouse are needed making it an effortless website to view. Please comment if I have made any errors on my site!
I would say look at other art shop websites for a better idea of what you want yours to look like and don't put too much pressure on your site, use it more like an internet base, set up a facebook group and use the website to back that up.0 -
I personally would improve the site first. OP could get some ideas down onto paper. Plan out roughly how she would like each page to look. A site does not have to be 5 star. A clean & tidy site, which is easy to navigate to begin with is essential. Otherwise the visitors you worked hard to attract initially will come and then leave the site just as quickly.
Checking out other websites is a good idea. Once a simple site is created which is easy to navigate, then the OP can really 'go to town' and hire a pro web designer if she so wishes.
If I was the OP I'd just keep improving the site myself. Learn some basics in web design through online websites etc. In this way, personal pleasure could be gained from the creation of her own website
