A little advice?

Hi everyone, hope you have all had a nice weekend.

I am just looking for a bit of advice, I won a competition about two months ago which included some vouchers. I have the email of the girl I am dealing with and she sent them out to me in the middle of March (on the day I went on holiday) so i emailed in the airport to say I wouldnt be there to collect them and given she had sent them special delivery she would get them returned as I wasnt going to be be back until after the week they hold them at the sorting office.

I emailed her when i was back and she said she hadnt got them returned yet but would email me when they arrived to rearrange the delivery. I emailed her again last week just to check and she said there was still no sign.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the items to be returned to their sender? It was the postal service from royal mail where they need a signature, and I am sure after 5 working days it is sent back to sender. I am worried they have gone missing, but the lady in the PR place doesnt appear too concerned yet.

It does seem a long time - have you asked her to chase up royal mail- also by now I would be asking to speak to her boss as it sounds like she is a little laid back.
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

If the item was sent recorded delivery and you were not in when royal mail attempted to delivery the item they will hold it for 7 days then return it to sender, but they will have a tracking number which they can use to contact royal mail. If it was posted standard delivery then it would have been held for 14 days after attempted delivery before being returned to sender. I would ask them if they have the tracking number and you can check the number online to see if it shows any information.
