No but in order to acheive what you want you need to move outside your comfort zone,

    ideas to generate extra income

ebay, sell excess stuff, make stuff to sell

    car boots sell your stuff

if you work in the public sector see what free or low cost/subsidised training/educaton there is, go after it

train yourself to do one household job very well, gardening, painting, garden fencing, then advertise locally, work weekends

do evening deliveries for Pizza places or other fast food joints.

election coming, put your name down to work in the counting halls

best tip, stick with this site, tons of ideas for moneysaving and accruing ideas

    good luck.

Don't you have to show that you are actually insolvent to go bankrupt?

Are your incomings of £30,000 really not enough to service your debts and a reasonable standard of living? Do you have super high APRs or something?

Have a look on this board to get some ideas to generate more income and feel a little bit more in control of your life.

I find it helps if you make a deal with yourself that you'll do this for say...5 years and then you have the right to reassess and change your whole life direction if you want to. That way you know its not forever.

    Sou,
No just 20k debts. After rent, bills, cc min payments/loan every month.....not much left. Just the rent and cc payments/loan every month total £1100. I take home £1850 a month and travel 30miles in the car to work every day.

3 years is the maximum, @ 50-70% of surplus income after living costs.
