YBS Member Exclusive Deal

Hello,
I'm a first time buyer and looking for the best deal with a 15% deposit. I've seen that the Yorkshire Building Society have 2 products i'm interested in, both offer 5.69% fixed for 5 years. On their website there is a members exclisive version of the deal. This comes with no is no fee and help with the legal costs.
Would anyone who already has an account with YBS for at least the last 12 months please be able to be my friend so that i can make the most of this deal?
When i spoke to them over the phone yesterday, all they said on proof was that they can find your account in their systems. No need to provide account numbers and all that bumph.
