Mothercare Gift Cards

We bought one of these yesterday and it doesn't come with a card only the actual gift card iyswim. Is this correct as they have given us a big envelope for the small gift card if not...?

The lady behind the till also said it can be used for ELC as well is this correct as I can't find any evidence of it anywhere?

I bought one a week or two ago and it did come with a backing card, wasn't anything beautiful so I don't think you've missed out!

And yes they can be used on ELC too, the one I bought actually has the ELC logo on the front. I don't know if this is restricted to ELC depts located within Mothercare stores though, as that's how ours is.

thanks, it just has the the card behind it which they use to hang it with which I was going to take off anyway but it does seem an awfully big envelope :huh:

No our card doesn't have the ELC logo , oh well we'll mention it to the people we're sending it. Wish they let you use it online though it would make things much easier for the people we're sending it to.

I used to work for Mcare till last year, and as far as I can remember, unless the rules have changed, then the Mcare gift cards with the ELC logo on can be used in any ELC store on the high street.

If it is a Mcare gift card without an ELC logo then it can be used in a Mcare store only, but can also be used on ELC items within a Mcare store, if you see?

Hi, I still have a few giftcards from xmas and they are all attached to a card where the sender has written to:__, from:__ and gift value:__, together with an envelope.

You can use the cards on all products including ELC items within Mothercare stores regardless of whats on the front of the card (I have no idea about actual ELC stores, sorry). The only thing you can't use them for is Clarks shoes as their own vouchers are paper and apparently their tills can't process the plastic cards.
