DMP question.........

Hi everyone,

this is my scenario- currently on a DMP, own a 1 bed flat and could soon be hearing the patter of tiny feet!, where would we stand with the DMP if obviously we needed to sell up and purchase a house?

Best wishes

Luke

Call CCCS and tell them you need to move and we will pass you onto a mortgage company.

You hadn't said it was cos you had a little one on the way in your last post!

You don't have to use the equity to clear any debs, in fact if you did your DMP would be closed. leave your DMP as it is and move, then just do a new budget to reflect your new situation.

wouldn't getting a new mortgage be seen as getting more credit? p.s dont know if little one is on the way yet but maybe soon! LOL

    Hi Luke#

There are mortgage companies that will give you a mortgage. CCCS can put you in touch wth the company they generally deal with. I have just got a mortgage going through (hopefully) and my credit rating is awful at the momemnt!!

Call CCCS, as WG has said.

No a mortgage is fine so long as you don't plan on changing anything unsecured into secured during the move it's fine.

Don't worry about your credit, the company we use (sorry to keep being so evasive but i don't want to name the company in case this is seen as advertising) deal with people in your position all the time, they are completely independent (which is why we use them) and will get you the best possible deal from well known lenders.

If your planning on a baby you want to move before, trust me you don't want to be trying to move house whilst Mrs is heavily pregnant or with the little one to take care of. you want to get in there, decorate and baby proof well before baby arrives :)
