Most popular and probably biggest is the one at Blochairn on a Sunday morning. Have to be up early though, most people are there about 6-7 am!

Ones during the week would not be succesful or even a saturday. Someone posted on the ebay board they had a car boot sale on saturday and made £6 !
To be honest the prices of the pitches have went up so much that it is hard to make any money, especailly considering you are standing all day.I was at the one at crossford last sunday and it was rubbish- people were leaving early and very little was being sold. It used to be good but I think the attraction has died down a bit. I have not been to the blochairn one for a while but do know you have to be up very early.
Might be worth considering putting them on ebay as a job lot and then someone else looking to have car boot sale can buy them and have the hassle of standing round all day.;) Plus your fees would not be as much as £10.

I did the Blochairn one last year. The first time we were there by 4:00am and didn't get a pitch. The second time we were there by 3:00am and were the last ones to get a pitch. The best pitches are inside. Its always busy. But be warned there are people who do it every week and are queueing from midnight to get a good pitch. We made about £200 profit. If you're willing to travel you could try lanark car boot. If the weather is good its always busy.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • Another good car boot sale to consider is the one at Ayr Racecourse (and includes market traders). Again this is held every Sunday. I think because they have much more room than Blochairn then no-one is turned away.
    ;)
  • scottishf-there is one at Eaglesham primary school this Sat -I think it is £5 a car and is well attended.

You only need to be there at 9am.
