Cheap HD camcorder help needed

I went to the Gadget Show Live today and after seeing the quality of the images from the Flip Mino HD, I have realised my standard def Flip Ultra no longer cuts it.

I was all set to spend the 170 for the Mino HD when I read a comment that for the price there are much better ones than the Flip out there.

Does anyone have any views on what is the best small (as in I can keep it in my handbag without weighing me down) HD camcorder out there?

I would mainly be using it for family shots so I don't need anything too snazzy
I wouldn't want anything too delicate, with 2 small children it needs to be a bit robust
I love the fact with the flip that I can plug it straight into the tv and watch my videos
I do love my gadgets though so it doesn't need to be as simple as the flip.

Any ideas? I came home from the Gadget show without buying a thing so need a gadget fix!!
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

Well, I ended up buying the Kodak ZX1. It was an amazing bargain at £50!
It takes pictures, records in 3 different resolution levels and comes not only with 2 rechargable batteries and a charger but also a HDMi cable!
I had a go on it today and I think the picture quality is really good! The zoom is a bit jerky but at £50 I'm not complaining!

I got it from Dixons/PC World, apparently its a clearance line

If anyone is thinking about a pocket camcorder I sugges looking at this one - so far so good!!

I recently bought the Kodak Zi6 for about £55 pounds. I'd read all the reviews and it came out very well against the Flip. As so many people rave about the Flip my expectations may have been too high but frankly I was disappointed. It's much bulkier and heavier than I expected and I'm not inpressed with the battery life. Images are OK but so are those of many mobile phone these days. I know it was only £55 but that's £55 I could have put towards a decent camcorder.
