do amazon offer you anything when they say next day delivery and nothing

i ordered a item costing £120 it stated next day delivery if ordered with in a certain time which i did well within the item did not arrive after staying in all day now i have checked it says delivery between 15th and 19th april surely this cannot be fair do they offer vouchers or anything

When you want the next day delivery, you have to select a certain option at the checkout otherwise it just opts for the cheapest version for you which is normally standard delivery.

I only found this out by making the mistake of trying very hard to get the "next day delivery" only to find out it costed more then the item I was ordering! Its a bit complicated if you don't realise there are several delivery options, several charges and so several ways of doing everything! I eneded up only noticing the additional charge on my email bill and called them up to cancel and get standard delivery!

You could try calling to cancel the order? but next day delivery is not free so if you did reorder (they'd likely refund you) bare in mind you'd be paying more to get the item delivered quicker then standard.

Thanks this was advertised as free delivery next day if the order was placed within the next 2 hours it said you will receive this by 1oth april no doubt they will say i pressed the wrong delivery

Quite often Amazon have a reasonably large advert offering you free next day delivery if you take the free trial of Amazon Prime just under the normal delivery part of the item page. But you have to sign up for that (month's free trial then 49 pounds a year) at the dispatch page of the checkout process.

Its not the right button, its seaching for the right option instead of going through the normal step-by-step- process. Not easy unless you know what your looking for and take it v.slow.
