Do you think that the fact that the horse's name was an anagram of 'u crime' referred to their dodgy business practices or crimes against fashion? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Wilson has redrumed the hopes of many FTBs in my opinion.
Redrum Redrum.
Murder Murder.
I've been on edge they'd have a horse which would place or even freak a win for a while. He was quick to brag how much they'd bet and won with a E/W place on their horse last year when it came in the top 5.
Funny how he can afford big bets, run horses at these major events, get dressed up and go for a nice expensive day out... but can tell mortgage lenders they can take some of their houses back if they think they can run things better than him, where the rents aren't covering the mortgages.0 -
Reminder from this time last year (2009):Meanwhile owner Fergus Wilson claimed his Grand National fifth Cerium won him over £100,000 in bets. Wilson's policy of running horses with apparently little chance in big races has been repeatedly criticised with Cerium finishing 11th in last month's Cheltenham Gold Cup at 300-1.
But, with some bookmakers paying out on six places, the Kent-based property millionaire enjoyed a rare day of glory, claiming to have an each-way bet at 500-1 on the Paul Murphy-trained horse.
Wilson said: 'At 125-1, a quarter the odds a place, we had a nice pick-up. We were looking round trying to find 2,000-1 like at Cheltenham but we could only get 500-1.
'If you are gambling people, you should be looking for bookies who pay out on the first five or six.
'We won't be picking up as much as the Grand National winner but it should be in excess of £100,000.'
Yes Fergus. Just simple folk. :rolleyes:0 -
I backed the winner this year 18-1 on Betfair 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
